Loved this class and professor. It was his first time teaching and he was so sweet and funny. Class split up into lectures and coding labs. Weekly coding assignments. 3 exams, non cumulative, fairly easy. Study guides cover exactly what's on the tests. Group coding project as final. Kanu and Hannah (TA) were super helpful if you're confused.
Professor is a very sweet and smart professor. She knows the concepts so well that can explain proofs in an understandable way. Her exam is fair that if you understand the lecture material well and do the practice exam, you will get a good grade. She is very caring during office hour which basically teach you by writing everything down step by step
It's challenging to follow along in the lecture because Pandey presents notes and proofs in a disorganized manner. The concepts discussed on the board are often excluded from what's on her slides, yet they will appear on one of her four exams per quarter, excluding the final. Additionally, her tests are intentionally worded to deceive students.
Nice guy, but this class is an intermediate coding course. Weekly coding assignments (40% of grade), coding-based exams (30% of grade), and coding project. Also assigned online coding lessons because his in-class lessons were ineffective. Avoid if you want to take a regular Comm class. 2 stars because he at least provides study guides for exams.
There were a lot of tests but they were knowledge checks of stuff on the slides. Her explanations of complex subjects broke them down in a way that was easy to follow. You can tell she actually cares about if she's making sense and if her students are truly learning the material or not. I wish every PSTAT professor was like her! She's awesome.
Dr. Pandey is a good lecturer and a fair grader. All the exam materials are covered in class as long as you read and understand them you will do well.
Lots of tests, but they are straight out of the lectures notes and very easy. As long as you do the practice exams and go through the slides you are almost guaranteed an A. Great lecturer and very helpful. Best stats prof ive taken so far.
No complaints about Nan, solid instructor and interesting lectures. This course has a short, non formal writing assignment due every other week based on class material. There is a group paper which consists of 12-15 pages, so I would suggest you start early so you have little to do at the end and since it is the largest portion of your grade.
I love her. 10/10 please take her class
Nan is an amazing person who cares for her students. Class consisted of 3 small papers, an online midterm and a group final paper(12-15 pgs). The midterm was a tougher/more in-depth than expected but she curved it. Group paper could be tough but go to office hours and she will help! Overall, pretty easy course and super relevant content!
I really enjoyed professor Wilkenfeld and the content of the class, it was very interesting. The class consisted of a weekly discussion post and quiz, with one paper.
This class was taken online during COVID era. The class is composed of weekly online quizzes, discussions, and a final paper. This class is pretty easy as long as you do all the readings and watch all the lectures. Lectures are pretty short around half an hour per week. I recommend taking this course.
