Literally the worst. Has psychological issues, as papers are graded according to mood and even when asked for her constructive criticism, nothing changed with grading. Power tripper. Assigns way too much homework - as if her class is the most important one. RUN. Also raging b some days- turns on a dime. DONT RECOMMEND.

Professor Webb wants her student to learn something from her. There's abundant work each week, and you might easily forget one or more pieces since they were not due on the same day. I'm confused about her grading because I modified my paper by her instruction and still got a low 85.

She teaches nothing in class and you have to understand everything on your own and then write those tough work. If you want to get a really GPA, you are welcomed to take this class.

I think Andrea is an excellent writing teacher. She responded to my emails very promptly. And she gave a high score for writing. In Essay2, I got 98 points. I love her teaching. Don't switch professors because of previous bad reviews.

Her course content is interesting, but she is very strict in grading. I spent more time studying than any other writing class, but I only got an A-.

I spent most of my time in her class, and the grade was the lowest compared to my other classes. Be ready to read a lot at home and think and write a lot during lectures. She is indeed a tough grader for Writing Projects. Unless you want to challenge yourself, there are other professors whose classes are more enjoyable.

Took Ling12. She is passionate and welcoming students at office hours. But grade hard on papers, and it doesn't improve your grades even if you goes to her office hours all the time. Had 6 quizzes, 1 midterm, 2 writing project (1200 min word count per project), 3 language tutorials, 6 journals, 1 final.

You can feel her passion; however, you cannot ignore her high expectations, which might be frustrating... Be ready to visit her frequently to figure out how to meet her expectations.

She is the worst professor I have met. She teaches nothing useful on class, totally a wast of time. A lot of readings are required, but none of them can help with paper. Too much homework for every class. She gives the low score that you can never imagine, and ignore your hard work. Extremely difficult paper topic, and she helps nothing with it.

A teacher uses majorly negative incentive to make students feel they did really really bad in class, and yes she is very helpful and enthusiastic, but I really cant appreciate such way to insult a students hard work based on their linguistic background. And she gives a lot of homework every week, avoiding her by all means unless you want 2/4.

A guy whose first draft is due in the second week of the quarter without time for preparations, and then gives you a score no more than 2 out of 4 on it. She could be helpful and enthusiastic, but the most annoying teacher I have ever met for sure. Also, extra credit is only 1% now. I swear all my other linguistic teachers are much better than her.

Prepare to read a lot. Prof. Webb gives a lot of homework, essays, and projects in my opinion; however, she does give good grades on the final drafts. Also, the extra credit helps to boost 2% of our grade at the end of the quarter which is nice.

Kind and elegant. Went to her office hour and had an unforgettable conversation. It requires efforts if you want to do well in her class .But it's not that tough compared to other linguistics professors I've heard of. Would definitely recommend.

Andrea's class is so helpful. She expect us to work hard and is very fair grader. I went to office hours and she spends a lot of time working with me individually. I learnt a lot of styles I didn't learn in other linguistic classes, so it was really helpful. I was bored about the other Ling classes but this one was fun because Andrea is passionate.

I tried my best and I went to all her office hours. She barely helped and was quite rude to the non-american speakers. She was very arrogant and expected the students to know already. Save yourself and do not take this class

She wants to help but she does not know how to help at all... She is really passive aggressive and she is mean to non English speakers. Very mean. I would not recommend this class to any student. I do not hate her but her actions are very mean towards the students.

Nicolaescu teaches nothing during the class and gives two chapters of grammar exercise every week plus normal homework.

Even if you try hard, you won't necessarily pass her class, her class schedule is very confusing, and you often don't know exactly what her assignment requirements are. webb will cause great trouble and pressure to college students when they graduate.
