Research design and data collection are skills that are necessary for all researchers to propose and conduct successful research projects. The primary aims of this course are (1) to familiarize students with the process of designing a research project, (2) to introduce students to a variety of data collection methods typically used by cultural and biological anthropologists, as well as other social scientists, and (3) to provide students with hands-on experience and thorough feedback on designing and conducting their own projects.
