She's a tough grader, attendance to lecture is mandatory, and you HAVE to do the readings. But she has a way of lecturing about hard stuff that, instead of making you feel naive, makes you feel smart just being in the conversation. If you show effort, participate, and talk to her after class once or twice she'll give you a boost at the end.

This class includes 2-3 readers per week. I did not think the workload was unreasonable. I think that Prof. Jullien does a good job of leading the class's conversation, and the readings themselves were interesting. Overall, pretty straightforward. Graded on participation and 2 exams. She is fair. If you want to succeed it is definitely possible.

Inaccessible outside of class, doesn't know how to speak to students not in the major, unclear and inconsistent grading, only a midterm and final for grade. Brilliant academic, horrible teacher.

Soft spoken. Course is so easy though, just go to lecture and take notes on why parts of the stories are Fantastic. Easy A if you dont just regurgitate the plots on the midterm/final.

Apparently everything is "uncanny" and "Fantastic" SO boring and after 4 lectures became very predictable. Got an A is first test because just kept saying the mentioned words above. Got a little creative with the final and got a B even though I did considerably better. Pretty much tell her what she wants to hear. Useless class but not much work.

Although she is soft spoken, she was very clear about her expectations and the tests were fair. The lectures were interesting, but you have to do the reading!
