CollegeSmith is a very good teacher and an expert in matrix analysis. Lectures were very polished, however some of the in-class examples were very difficult to understand. Seems that he has changed the format of this class and homework/tests are quite reasonable. Watch out though, the final had a lot of computation.
Smith is one of those rare professors who knows how to bring real-world experience to the classroom. He really knows his stuff and is an awesome instructor.
Don't buy the textbook. Lots of drafting that is based on cleanliness, and precision. Project due every week, time consuming, not really worth the 2 credits. Should be worth 4 for all the work. Ron was cool, super bald, I'd take a class with him again but I don't want to do the work.
