CollegeProf. Paul is one of my best music teachers I've had. He is extremely clear with the topics he addresses and always enthusiastic in helping students. He always wants students to come to office hours and loves talking with students and getting to know them. Take a class from him!
All I can say is that I regret it, every bit. Seems like an ok guy to know outside class, but appears nervous to give lectures and bombs you on tests. WAY TO MUCH INFORMATION TO REMEMBER FOR ONE CLASS!!! This guy needs to take it down a notch and know that students have lives and OTHER CLASSES!
He needs to realize that it is just a GE and IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN EASY A. What's the point of giving so many papers and grading them hard? Also u never know your score before the letter grade comes out. (FYI I got 3.97 gpa and this is the only A- in GE I ever got)
Professor Paul makes it very easy to succeed if you take the class somewhat seriously. If you read the assigned documents, do the writing assignments, and go to class, you will be fine. Lectures on some topics can be dry. If you have any extra interest in the subject he is a great professor to talk to, very knowledgeable and humble.
I loved him! He is such an articulate and intelligent man that it made you want to listen to the things that he had to say. Although it was a lot of reading, it was really interesting. He definitely made me view writing differently after taking the class.
Paul is such a gem! He is very understanding and lenient of people's situations if you just communicate with him. Grades are based on 3 papers and 5-6 journals so do them all and you'll be fine. Every week there are about 2-3 articles to read that are discussed in class. Overall I would definitely take another class with Paul if I could.
