I liked the OH, they were everyday of the week which was nice. Projects were good too felt like they were a good introduction to AI. But lectures and homeworks were imo subpar, they did not prepare you for the exam. I did 4 of the homeworks and went to all but 2 lectures and yet felt super unprepared for the lecture in terms of the ML

Professor Preiss's lecture is both interesting and useful. He has a strong background and deep understanding in reinforcement learning, and I think this is the only undergrad class covers RL. The class is very helpful, and I don't think it is too hard. His slides are very clear, and there will be many extra credits if you spend some time on the HW.

This class isn't organized in the way you'd think it should be. You could study for days and still not be sure what he could put on the exams. All homeworks prior to midterm and prior to finals didn't match up with the tests on top of not providing an idea of the exams format.

There aren't many CS classes that can make me fall asleep and this is one of them. The overall structure is so vague like he just wants to throw everything at you and expect you to digest it yourself. I understand he is a new professor and the math is easy for him but that doesn't excuse the fact that many students can't follow the lectures.

Goes through a ton of information super quickly and does not go into much detail or explain clearly. Doesn't prep students well for the exam and the homework assignments have barely anything to do with the exam. Curves generously but only because the raw average is so low. Would definitely recommend taking it with a different professor

I honestly dont know what happened all quarter? The exams were nothing like the assignments and I feel we never really learned anything in this class. I was aware of many topics related to the course, but the professor's explanations were so confusing that I no longer understand these topics anymore.
