Diaspora and Performance: Transnational Studies in Exile, Embodiment, and Visual Art is a new graduate seminar that considers the historical condition of diasporic performance art. Furthermore, we study the ability of artists to translate exilic experience into artistic identity and materialist phenomenology; or, to be in exile in art.

It wasn't that bad just one writing assignment a week and a final. The lectures were disorganized, but the readings were the most helpful. honestly just do the readings and it should be okay

Not a very good lecturer, she jumps around timelines and never goes in chronological order. She also just says too much stuff that its really hard to follow. However, if you are looking for an easy A I do recommend this class just don't expect to learn much. My TA Meridith was very helpful and a lot better at teaching then her.

Her lecture slides are somewhat disorganized but it isn't too bad. She is really sweet and always eager to talk to students, plus she responds to emails pretty quickly. One (very small) writing assignment per week about the material, no midterm, and an online final. Despite what most people are saying, this class is really easy and I recommend it.

The way she organized her slides was very out of order, jumped around a ton. I think she also speaks a lot about things other than what we are currently learning and thinks we're all dance majors which is confusing. Besides the actual learning, she is very nice, wants to see us do well, and likes to take input from the students which I appreciate.

Please do not take this professor. Very horrible organization and formatting. I repeat. Do not take. Had to drop the class.

Great Professor who's nice and caring. 50% of grade from weekly writing assignments, 25% participation and 25% online final. Take this class for GE you will not regret. The online final is hard with a "can't go back to previous question after you submit" but we have 3 hours and it's open book. She also add five extra points to final overall grade.
