Collegegot cooked on a couple of the tests and still ended up with a B+. super nice, apparently the course is supposed to not be as proofs based but honestly she still made it great. the stats department at ucsb is absolutely terrible but she stands out as a great professor.
Shes a great professor and lecturer but the class is very proof heavy (you just have to memorize them not like formulate them). theres 2 class exams, one midterm, pop quizzes, 4 homeworks and a final project. grades pretty nicely and is very friendly. dense lectures and a lot of material though
Pandey is amazing at teaching proofs. She explains every proofs very clearly and intuitively, but this is not what this course is supposed to be about. I expect to learn more about analysis based on coding in this course, but clearly this is not what I experienced. I would recommend her to teach classes like 120 rather than 126.
Pandey is a young and engaging professor. She hold pop-quizzes, and has three midterms plus a final, but with decent studying and homework prep, they are very fair. She is super personable in office hours and clearly wants students to do well in the class and understand the material.
Very fair professor, while the content can be difficult her lecture slides are very detailed and she explains them very well. There are 2 "class exams", a midterm and a final so it can be a lot but she gives plenty of resources to help study for them. Difficult class but study well and take advantage of an amazing professor and you will be fine!
Puja Pandey is the goat. Explains fairly dense material in an intuitive way. 4 homeworks (30%, part writing/theoretical, part coding, lowest dropped), 6 pop quizzes (10%, lowest dropped), 2 in-class exams, 1 midterm, 1 final (all exams 20% each). Very fair study guide questions and exam difficulties, super nice in OH.
