CollegeHe is very caring and nice. Highly recommended to go to his office hour. The grading is lenient.
Zero feedback. Homeworks are hard as hell. One test at the end, hardest thing in the world. Clearly Mihai is a superb researcher, as evidenced by his papers and papers of others who mention him. Putinar is truly a legend, but definitely not one you would want to take a class with.
Can't teach but expects you to learn through verbal abuse.
He clearly thinks he is teaching graduates.
I can't find any relation between the homework and his lecture. The lecture is super unclear, at least for me. Why can't he think about the reason that students stop asking questions even when the course content goes harder? This is a pure self-study course and the textbook is nearly the worst one I've ever seen.
I really don't know how this old man earned such a high score on RMP. Lecture is deduction heavy with few examples related to homework and exam. He seems to be teaching in an old school way. He has serious accent. His homework problems can't be found online, so be prepared to meditate for a long time for an answer
