CollegeAfter taking this class, I learned that the TA you have matters. My TA was Richard Nedjat-Haiem, a condescending nightmare who graded way harsher than the others. He belittled us and was so pretentious. We didn't do anything in the section; he made us "teach" it. Once he didn't even show up.
Great lecturer, super involved with the issues she discusses. participation in lecture definitely helps and would recommend going to office hours if anything is unclear. participation was mandatory in section but definitely depends on how strict your TA is. overall super interesting class and was the most passionate professor i've had
Prof Weber was so caring and informative. I would definitely recommend doing the readings if you want to stay engaged during lecture and if you want to do well in the class (grade is mostly from an in class essay for the midterm, an 1800 word paper, and final all concerning readings/lectures). Everything we learned was fascinating. I recommend!
Honestly shes a decent professor. She talks a lot and its kinda difficult to stay engaged in class. BUT my main point is DO NOT take this class if you are easily triggered by graphic content (SA, racism, etc). I found this out on the first day of class and by that point all other class options were full. so just be warned-- its graphic af
My all time favorite class that I've taken here. The prof was so nice and her lectures were easy to understand and interesting. I enjoyed the different texts that we were assigned to read each week and I found the papers and homework assignments to be really interesting and easy.
I could've failed this class but Professor Weber did not let me. She was really helpful and even extended deadline dates for me( she saw that I was actually participating in class). The class is writing heavy but if you enjoy analysis papers then you would like this class. Overall great professor and actually care about whether you pass or fail.
