ENGL192SS . 4 Months Ago

Saw a few people complaining about the midterm but it was pretty straightforward if you read all of the readings and went to lecture and took notes. Pretty easy class, offers extra credit as well. Interesting and engaging. Very passionate professor! Would take again.

ENGL92SS . 5 Months Ago

Prof Jue is great! Simple weekly writing assignments 400 words. Weekly homework is about 2 readings of short science fiction. Midterm and final are fill in blank and short answer. Definitely need to read but if you do, the tests are easy. Took class as GE and definitely recommend!! iClicker attendance, slides are posted.

ENGL192SS . 5 Months Ago

Loved this class because the readings were short and interesting. They are explored further in lectures. All you need to do well is to read the stories closely and remember characters and some thematic elements. iClicker attendance was mandatory which kind of sucks but I wouldn't skip anyway. Really enjoyable course with nice professor.

ENGL192SS . 5 Months Ago

She was a really great professor and lecturer, attendance is mandatory but the lectures are very interesting and you can tell how passionate she is about the subject. The midterm was long and not everyone finished so she changed the format of the final and made it shorter as well as giving extra credit opportunities to earn points back.

ENGL192SS . 6 Months Ago

Professor Jue was very passionate about the subject and was very kind during lectures. She did a great job in explaining and preparing students for the midterm and final exam. Weekly write ups were easy and were mostly finished in section. Very easy class, she provides all the readings except one book that can be found for cheap on amazon(~$12)

ENGL192SS . 6 Months Ago

Jue created a midterm that was too long; a large majority of the class didn't finish and barely reached the last section, worth 50%. She then explained how it was our fault for not being prepared enough, writing too much, being inefficient with our time, and we had poor test-taking skills since we didn't prioritize the section worth more.
