CollegeShe is a wonderful prof, she also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. There are labs each week but attending any TAs office hours will help you with that. There will be two quizzes that serve as a check-in before midterm and final. She talks pretty fast and posts lectures twice a week. Her slides help you digest all that. Take good notes!
This class was packed with interesting information! Would definitely recommend watching the lectures in full rather than reading the slides, the professor is great at explaining concepts. Great for anyone needing to fulfill a GE requirement or interested in the continent. Labs are doable if you watch lectures, tests are easy A's if you pass the lab
Great science course to take for all majors. Both exams were very doable. The labs weren't too difficult - it definitely helps having a great TA. I personally wasn't a fan of her lectures as I felt she spoke too fast. I recommend instead reading the powerpoints and the notes sections on each slide. Overall, very happy with taking this course!
Nicoletta is a great lecturer who was super outside of class as well. Grading criteria was clear and the class isn't too hard if you study. Also handled the effects of COVID on her students at the end of fall quarter very well.
Professor Browne is not a great lecturer and her lectures are quite boring. There is lab once a week that can be hard depending on your TA. Lectures are not mandatory because she puts all the slides online and doesn't say anything else that would be important to know. Tests require studying, but she gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. Easy A
Lecture may be heavy, but PPT is clear and very well explained. Overall really easy A class. Many extra credit and curves, and the professor is really nice and helpful outside the class.
