I wonder why this professor's reviews are so high. Maybe because of Ling 20+70. Assignments are a big part of your grade for this class. It's only fortunate that the TA was more chill on grading because whenever the professor did, it was extremely harsh as if we were expected to be masters already at our craft. TY TA for being more considerate
Very boring class in general. Bob Kennedy is a good professor, but he does not teach me anything and I am not learning a single thing in his boring class about linguistics. Very bad and boring lectures, ranting about stupid tangents back and forth all day long. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!! YOU WILL FAIL!!!! do not recommend unless going to sleep bored!
Sports Language - super easy, actually pretty interesting, and NO TEXTBOOK. Just do the study guide for the midterm/final and you'll be fine.
This class was super easy. If you go to class and at least pay attention somewhat you will do fine. He gives study guides which basically have the same questions as the midterm and final. He tells you the information that you need to know from the readings
He gives you study guides to the exams with the exact essay questions. Go to every class and he'll go over everything you need to learn, including the readings. The content can be boring sometimes, but he's a funny guy with cheesy jokes and a great attitude. I'd recommend this class for anyone if they want something interesting and easy. GREAT.
This class was interesting and fun at times. Overall wasn't entirely difficult. Tests consisted of long answer reiterations of notes from lecture and there was a study guide for both the midterm and final.
