CollegeBad professor.
Super nice professor. Was lax on attendance. Only 2 papers and then a final revision. Small assignments throughout but nothing intense. Fun class and actually learned a lot about myself through this course. TAKE THIS CLASS.
Ellen is an absolute gem. If you get the opportunity to take any course with her, take it! She gives great feedback and is very caring about her students. Very personable and creates a positive learning environment for everyone. Class allows you to be creative and write about topics from your heart. She is the BEST professor I have had at UCSB.
I really like Professor Whittet. She seems a little scary at first but she is actually so kind and truly cares about her students. She's also a very fair grader. We had these group assignments and she averaged the group's piece and your grade (which was determined by your group members) so people who actually worked got a grade they deserved.
Pr. Whittet is a kind, responsive professor who is interested in her students' success!
Yeah, she's great. Professor Ellen really listens to her students and adjusts the class to fit them. We had group projects which are never my favorite, but she doesn't always do group projects and even when she does, she'll work with you and assure everyone succeeds. Her class showed me I have a talent for journalism. And that meant a LOT to me.
