Immigration has transformed the United States in the past and today, and is changing the face of Europe and is transforming the societies that immigrants are leaving behind. This course covers the social science literature, including the causes and consequences of immigration, the economics and politics of immigration, the adaptation patterns of immigrants and their descendants, the impact on the societies left behind, and the long-term effects of immigration on American society.

CollegeGraded by 5 quizzes, in-class assignments (open and close for the duration of class, but can be completed anywhere), an in-depth interview, and a paper. The prof is very passionate about immigration, but did not present the material well at all. When she lectured it was confusing and other days she played films or had a guest. Offers extra credit.
Super unclear about instructions and changed date for final a day before when it said a different day on canvas. also never responded to emails. super nice just wish she was more organized
she is an awesome proffesors, she just need to give clear directions in my opinion also she is so sweet
I do not recommend taking classes with this professor. She changed the due date to the final the night before it was due. She is also not a good communicator, I made 3 attempts to contact her via email and got no response. Very unprofessional.
Many issues with this professor. There were limited directions and expectations were unclear. She also changed the due date the night before for the final is due. Giving us less than 24 hour notice. Also never responds to emails.
The professor was whatever. Not very organized, always messed up due dates, and was not very accessible. There were 2 TAs; unfortunately, the one I had was also not very good. She was never clear but tough at grading. I would never take a class with her again. She's a sweet lady, but not a very good lecturer.
