CollegeShe has improved significantly in recent years and has made a clear effort to do so. Her rating is so low because of mostly courses from years ago, but her classes are quite approachable now (I've taken 2 recently). Used GPT for lectures instead of attending which worked for me. Homework/quizzes weekly but they're helpful, exams were reasonable.
The homework is good practice for the final exam and she truly wants students to learn. She doesn't post lecture notes for a week or so, so if you dislike going to lecture probably don't take her. But I would say she is a great professor.
She's nice and her midterms and final weren't that bad. Just do the homework and practice it and you'll be more than fine.
Professor Ravat has a unique teaching style, but if you engage with it, the class can be manageable. The exams emulate the homework, and the use of a cheat sheet helps. Unstuck AI and other study tools proved invaluable for preparing.
Besides extra credit not helping, I don't think there's anything to complain about. I think she's actually a really good professor. The practice test is really helpful and the exams are similar to the homework so just make sure you understand hw and you'll be fine.
super nice professor. Midterm easy if understand the HW. really willing to offer help. so nice. Highly recommend
