Determinism is the doctrine that the laws of nature plus the past necessitate the future. Is determinism compatible with the view that we often act freely and are often morally responsible for what we do?

CollegeClass structure keeps you engaged, and the lectures are great. You cannot get behind, though; there is a lot of ground to cover, but if you keep up, it's a really fun class. Strongly recommend taking a class from hum
I took this class because he had so many good reviews. I worked super hard and I felt like he was unaccommaded to students during the pandemic. He had a lot of trouble with the technology. As a DSP student, he messed up the tests on GauchoSpace and made it MORE stressful for me, which is the opposite of why Im in DSP.
Jarrett is an interesting man. He wasn't the best at answering questions, but I thoroughly enjoyed his class. It was more discussion based which was really nice and he gave out relatively short readings (10 - 15 pages a night). He gives great feedback on papers and is overall a nice guy. Am currently taking him again.
Loads of his students find him hilarious - lots of jokes. If you understand the concepts you will pass easily, but some found this class conceptually more difficult than others. Explains well, good slides, all info on GS. Participation and attendance are graded which I hate - encourages unnecessary and ill-thought out contributions from students.
Great lecturer, keeps everyone interested. Daily quizzes but they help you actually learn the material. One midterm one essay and one final.
Graded on attendance (req.), participation (5%), reading quizzes (20%), midterm exam (20%), term paper (8-10 pgs; 30%) and cumulative final exam (25%). It's an eccentric topic taught by an eccentric prof., but it was a ton of fun! Jarrett loves long-winded class discussions and he's very receptive to students' interpretations. Love the guy!
