Focus on functional language use common across disciplines, such as expressing causation and change of state, creating cohesion, establishing focus and emphasis, qualifying ideas, and reporting research. Attention given to developing language resources and strategies for effective summarizing, paraphrasing and editing.

He indeed gives a lot of homework (I usually stay up late for his homework...), but he is a caring professor. He is not a tough grader at all and is always willing to help. I received a lot of help during office hours. After all, he has a lot of work for you to finish, but you will get a good grade if you take the course seriously.
