Great professor. All homework and the final project are graded based on completion. The first drafts of the two papers have an A average, and you can improve your grade with a revised version. An easy A if you write two papers properly and go to the CLAS for help/attend office hours when necessary!
She is very supportive and kind to students. As long as you finish your homework correctly, you can get whole points for assignments. Also, she gives really high scores and encouraging feedbacks towards our essays.
try to get every point of class assignments because essays will greatly affect your gpa. Overall, she is a good prof, and you can get everything you need from course materials so it is not really necessary to attend her classes.
Mrs. Andrea is really an excellent writing teacher. She is not strict in grading. In fact, I got full scores for almost every assignment. My two essays also got very high scores. As far as I know from Canvas, more than half of the students got 95 and above. Moreover, she is very friendly to international students and passionate about teaching.
She teaches nothing in class and you have to understand everything on your own and then write those tough work. If you want to get a really GPA, you are welcomed to take this class.
I think Andrea is an excellent writing teacher. She responded to my emails very promptly. And she gave a high score for writing. In Essay2, I got 98 points. I love her teaching. Don't switch professors because of previous bad reviews.
