CollegeProf. is a great speaker and clearly passionate. Attendance really matters. Midterm was a bit tricky, but the papers balance the course out. The material isn't too challenging. Super interesting and relevant course.
Take her classes! You can get at least a B, she wants to see everyone succeed🐐
Amazing teacher! She is so caring and kind. One group project!
Prof Houston is a very nice lady, I resonate with all other reviews about her. A lot of lectures kind of felt like talking instead of learning which made me check out a bit since I wasn't taking active notes. Lectures are mostly discussions on readings. I don't regret taking her but I don't see myself taking her again.
prof. Houston was great! an amazing lecturer and did a great giving real world examples to concepts to help us understand. The content we learned was hard, but the readings really do help. there's also an online free pdf version of the textbook, so don't buy it. The group projects are weighted heavily, but everyone submits their own papers.
Professor Houston is one of the best Comm Professors at UCSB. Take the class seriously and be thorough with homework and you will get an A, it's really not that hard.
