Took Math 3A his first quarter teaching and you could tell it was his first time. Totally confusing lectures with irrelevant examples. Webworks were hard. Midterm and final were completely open book. Clas/Khan Academy/Youtube are pretty essential to understanding what's actually going on. The class wasn't hard he was just a bad professor.

Worst teacher I have had. Tests are way harder than the practice midterm. Doesn't explain things well at all, I had to teach myself everything. Everyone would have failed the class but he curved it to a B+. If you are planning on doing more calc after 3A then wait for another professor because he doesn't prepare you at all for future math classes.

Somehow managed to get an A because of the curve (average is a B+). If your actually want to learn the material, don't take him. I never went to lecture. Practice exams and final were nothing like the real ones. Horrible professor. On the first day of class he said we should just chatgpt the homework and that we don't even need to do to go to class

He wasn't as bad as what other people said about him. He responded to my emails throughout the course and was understanding when I couldn't make the midterm, I did it in office hours instead the following week. Allowed unlimited notes for final and midterm, practice midterm and final were also practically the same for the tests.

Extremely clear lecturer writes nice and large on the board, goes at the right speed, enunciates well. Will actually take time to understand your question before answering it. He could dedicate more time to the class organization, but overall if you're comfortable with reading the book and trying to follow along in lecture, you'll be fine.
