SUNG B O
Somehow managed to get an A because of the curve (average is a B+). If your actually want to learn the material, don't take him. I never went to lecture. Practice exams and final were nothing like the real ones. Horrible professor. On the first day of class he said we should just chatgpt the homework and that we don't even need to do to go to class
He wasn't as bad as what other people said about him. He responded to my emails throughout the course and was understanding when I couldn't make the midterm, I did it in office hours instead the following week. Allowed unlimited notes for final and midterm, practice midterm and final were also practically the same for the tests.
Extremely clear lecturer writes nice and large on the board, goes at the right speed, enunciates well. Will actually take time to understand your question before answering it. He could dedicate more time to the class organization, but overall if you're comfortable with reading the book and trying to follow along in lecture, you'll be fine.
The midterm study guide was nothing like the exam. Midterm was super hard and the final was even harder. I took AP Calc AB in high school and still barely got an A only because I managed to do really well on the midterm. Also just skip lectures and self study because you won't learn anything from them.
don't take it
He makes no sense in lecture, and I have learned nothing from him. The midterm is way harder than study guide. I learn most stuff from the CLAS then the lecture.
He makes no sense in lecture, and I have learned nothing from him. However, the class is curved, so since the average on the midterm was a 54%, getting a B range grade is attainable.
This class made no sense. Other than for lectures the professor is completely not accessible. He never responded to any of my emails and his lectures were some of the worst I've ever listened to. However, he allowed us unlimited notes for both exams and the questions were quite literally the same as the practice midterm. It's an easy grade.
Da Goat somehow got 100% on the midterm
While the lectures had no organization to them, the practice exams were very similar to the real ones. Even though I did not understand half the material, I was still able to get a decent grade.
Clearly does not care about the class, refuses to post anything on canvas, super late on posting practice exams, no communication with TA, and will NEVER respond to your emails. Lectures are pretty much useless, so you're better off reading the textbook. 40% average for the midterm, but curves the class at the end which is his only positive.
The teacher taught me nothing. If you want to learn anything, don't take his class. He talked about cardinality of sets and bijections from the natural numbers on day 1 without introducing sets and logic. I feel bad for the math majors who have to use this as a starting point for math. Hard topics compared to content, easy if you already know it.
