CollegeClass is based on multiple assignments around 500 words in length and participation. Some of the assignments have harder than expected prompts for this type of class but they're doable and the professor is pretty great.
Prof Ninh is one of the best professors I have had at UCSB. She truly cares about her students, is knowledgable and helpful, and just a joy to be around. Every week, I left class feeling empowered, like a learned something new about myself and others. She gives personalized and helpful feedback on assignments, so that you can actually improve!
This class wasn't what I expected. She is a difficult grader. I enjoyed the subject, but I wouldn't want to take another class with her because of her grading.
Professor Ninh rewarded people who engaged, and people who had an interest to lean. i interpreted the "cocked head" as an genuine interest and processing of commentary, reguardless of how relevant it was or not, that a student may have given. She has much to give, and her lessons allowed me to breach new topics and perspectives. i loved her.
Horrible. She does not clarify her goals or the class goals. Her assignments are unnecessary and she is not helpful. She likes to give confused looks (head cocked to the side while blinking) and use big words to make her students feel dumb.
love this professor!!! she was super sweet and definitely wants her students to succeed! she's so understanding and very open to discussions just go to her office hours if you ever need help with anything! she is a bit harsh on grading but lwk if you just talk to her she will try her best to help you and it defintely reflects in the grading.
