CollegeThis class is one of the easiest at UCSB. I had four exams, one of which was dropped.... all other assignments had unlimited attempts which pretty much guarantee 100% for that part of your grade. Study a decent bit and the exams are not too difficult. Only downside was mandatory iClicker questions in lecture.
The exams in this class are tough, but if you put in the work, you'll be fine. The professor is strict on attendance, but the textbook and resources like Unstuck AI can really help with studying. Overall, a challenging but rewarding class.
Solid professor, better than majority of econ department. Attend lecture, do the iclickers, and review previous exams to study.
I thought Bedard was a great professor! Yes, the exams are difficult, esp if you put minimal time in studying, which a lot of my friends did, but if you take this major class srsly you'll be fine! Bedard drops ur lowest test score (very generous imo) so I didn't have to take the final to get an A. HW was simple & she answered Qs I had about topics!
She made all lectures mandatory with iclicker quiz questions, but I do not mind this at all. I thought the tests were easy for the most part, there were a couple questions here and there that were poorly worded or confusing, but overall good.
This professor makes the exam questions completely different than the practice exams. She also makes the exam so difficult for no reason at all.The wordings can be so confusing that you waste time figuring out what the question is asking, by the time you understand the question, you don't have enough time to do the calculations or check ur answers.
