CollegeBedard is very nice and approachable. The class is meant to be hard to weed out people from the Econ major so the course's difficulty is not really related to her. Out of all the 10A teachers, I'd suggest Bedard... Her lectures can be confusing sometimes but she does very well to simplify complicated material for the class.
She is an OUTSTANDING professor & this is coming from a student that worked hard but didn't get a good grade. She's a really helpful and understanding person. Yea its a HARD class, but if u study and DON'T STRESS OUT u will be fine. Material is very interesting. Seriously don't let the stress of doing well get to you because u will just do worse.
Professor Bedard is a nice person and tries to help her students, but her lectures are very confusing. I attended all lectures and studied a lot, but ultimately did poorly. Since I got a C, I am banned from the Econ major forever. My advice would be to get a good tutor from CLAS(I found out too late).Lindsay Appell was a great tutor. Good luck!
Textbook sometimes will confuse people, so focusing on the slides will be better. Don't memorize the answers. You need to understand how to solve the problems and why solve it this way because the exams will test you how to solve for a condition which you used to have in the questions.
Her practice materials are not helpful. They are just basic concepts and whatever you see the most on practice WILL NOT be on the test. I enrolled into CLAS, which he (Ed) doesn't help at all. Luckily, I got a good TA (Christine) that explains well or else I couldn't get another chance to petition into the major. Good luck future students.
Professor Bedard is awesome. She is very helpful and patient and funny. No need to buy the textbook. There are enough practice problems for this class but you dont have to do them all. Its the best econ class ive ever taken.
