CollegeNothing much to say about the professor. She explains the slides in class, with occasional examples, but remains mostly theoretical. She writes too small on the board if you're in the back of the class. Class was hard but only because there were so few questions on the tests. It wasn't that difficult overall. Study well and you'll be in good shape.
During lecture she hardly gives examples, it's very basic, reading off the slides. You're teaching yourself in a way but still make sure to attend all lectures and sit in the front. I took her during summer, we had lecture quizzes every week, 2 midterms and 1 final. No calculators/cheat sheets/or scratch paper during exams
she is one of those professors who doesn't care about you or your grade and there's a reason they had her stop teaching this class almost a decade ago. not sure y she is back but i rlly hope for future econ majors she's gone by next yr again
Bedard is very nice and approachable. The class is meant to be hard to weed out people from the Econ major so the course's difficulty is not really related to her. Out of all the 10A teachers, I'd suggest Bedard... Her lectures can be confusing sometimes but she does very well to simplify complicated material for the class.
She is an OUTSTANDING professor & this is coming from a student that worked hard but didn't get a good grade. She's a really helpful and understanding person. Yea its a HARD class, but if u study and DON'T STRESS OUT u will be fine. Material is very interesting. Seriously don't let the stress of doing well get to you because u will just do worse.
Professor Bedard is a nice person and tries to help her students, but her lectures are very confusing. I attended all lectures and studied a lot, but ultimately did poorly. Since I got a C, I am banned from the Econ major forever. My advice would be to get a good tutor from CLAS(I found out too late).Lindsay Appell was a great tutor. Good luck!
