Lectures not mandatory & posts them afterwards. Lots of guest speakers. 5 weekly quizzes (4% each). Variable weighting for midterms + final (20% worst 25% middle 35% best). Exams are only on lecture materials. Double sided cheat sheets for midterms and 2 for final. Kinda boring but fair and easy upper div. Prof is super understanding and nice too.

PSY102 . Yu H A Month Ago

Dr. Yu is a super sweet and awesome professor. The content is very interesting in social neuroscience and history&culture psych. Textbook is not necessary but helpful. Two midterm and a cumulative final covers 80% of grade, 20% for 5 quizs. Tests are easy as long as you review the studies and concepts. Accessing OH and Study Guide are very helpful.

Great professor and pretty chill class. I recommend going to lectures but I missed a lot due to work and was still able to get a good grade! Grade is basically exams and quizzes but your highest exam is worth 35%. Very generous professor and very interesting class!!

PSY102 . Yu H A Month Ago

yu is a very chill professor with laid back teaching style. his lectures did tend to be a bit dry, but the content itself is super interesting. grading consists of 2 midterms and 1 final, you get a cheat sheet for each (front and back) and 2 for the final, and 5 quizzes based on course material.

Dr. Yu is probably an overqualified professor for this class!! He really cares about his work, his research, and students, and will truly want the best for all. His study guides are really helpful, and it is truly the amount of effort you are willing to put in, that will affect your outcome from this class. He is so sweet and deserves the best!
