Each week, we’ll examine an argument for a radical or controversial conclusion, including: that God does not exist, that you have no free will, that you don’t know anything, that it’s irrational to fear death, that abortion is immoral, that eating meat is immoral, and that taxation is immoral.

He cares a lot about teaching and students learning the material. Tests are exactly based off the lectures. Papers instructions were kind of unclear but the grading wasnt too strict for me. Material is interesting and makes you think critically. The biggest thing you are graded on is knowing the material and how it relates to the chapter.

amazing lectures. Grading is highly correlated with which TA you get.

Pretty easy GE, class consists of 3 papers and a couple other assignments that are pretty easy and interesting at times. Lowest paper grade dropped.

I would take again! Honestly an easy GE to take and it was interesting. Only 3 papers and lowest grade is dropped so you don't have to do 1 if you don't want to. Attendance on iClicker for extra credit.

The class along with professor was captivating and very interesting, a good GE for people somewhat interested in philosophy. the grade is based on 3 papers, the lowest paper score is dropped, the textbook is given, and online, attendance in lectures gets you extra credit.
