    • Contemporary Persian Literature and Translation . RG ST 157CP

    Introduces students to 20th century Persian-language literary texts as a means of understanding the efforts of an ever-expanding Iranian intellectual class over this period via use of both the short story and the novel. The course seeks to familiarize students whose command of Persian is at Intermediate or Advanced level. Students increase their fluency in reading and learn to exercise an enhanced facility in the language.

    I love Dr. Feiz, she is so awesome and such a caring, wonderful professor; she literally is a genius, and she answers every question perfectly. She is a wonderful person with a big heart, and I've loved all the classes I've taken with her. Can't recommend enough, best professor in UCSB. Actually best professor ever.

    Prof Feiz is THE BEST prof ever. She cares a lot about her students and her class is really easy. I took 157I and it was the best GE I have ever taken.

    Dr. Feiz is genuinely an amazing professor, and I'm writing this review years after I took her class. I was a student at UCSB several years back, and the only professor I have fond memories of is Dr. Feiz. She is so kind and caring, and everything a professor should be. You will love any class she teaches, that's a guarantee.

    I love Prof. Feiz! She is so sweet and caring. I am a heritage Farsi Speaker but never knew how to read and write, but taking the series of 58A-F has changed my life. I know so much more about my own heritage and culture just by virtue of taking classes with Aazam. Take her if you can!
