CollegeDo not take his class. Lots of work but ABSOLUTE MEANINGLESS. HATE IT.
A decent lecturer and a helpful professor when you have questions, but boy he's inconsiderate about your life outside his class. Very antsy about extensions, despite the midterm and paper deadlines being unreasonable for most of his students' schedules, and not very grateful for our time/attention. The presentations were fun and engaging though.
Take his classes if you want to wake up at 8 in the morning and sit through a 3hr lecture where half of it is him patrolling the room tryna see if his ridiculous method of forcing meaningless discussions is any good. He calls the papers research paper but its just "researching" from his readings he feeds you every week. 350 letters is not enough.
A kind person up close, but a terrible professor. His assignments and approach to attendance show an utter lack of respect for the lives of students outside his class. Tons of readings, exams and research papers are inflated to guarantee feeling like busywork, and boring lectures. Miss lecture twice and you're threatened with an automatic fail.
Assignments; so many requirements that it limits ur creativity. Presentations; answer questions (which r given day of) based on quotes from readings we turned in a day before = directionless. We r not given the questions beforehand so the quotes often dont align with the questions. Long boring lectures. not prostudent will pray on ur downfall
This professor is incredibly friendly but this course was extremely boring and long. There are weekly writing assignments which were graded fairly difficult because he hires a grader that is not associated with the school. The midterm and final are both essays based on the readings and films. You will be called on in some class discussions.
