CollegeCalled a girl in my group a Burra. Appears to be at least the second time she has done this.
She is inconsistent not only across assignments but students as she has clear favoritism issues. She also seemed to grade based on feelings and not an objective standard. Also had to ask multiple questions and speak about my exams to get any type of reason as to why points were docked.
While I got a good grade in the class this professor was discriminative and chose favorites. She put others down when she disagreed or let her personal opinions get in the way. She would call people out during and after class for obscene things making students feel degraded and helpless. She also would grade very subjectively rather than objective.
I had a fever and got a doctor's note the day before class. She said it counted for the day it was written and expected to see me in class. I showed up to class coughing with a fever. Though I never missed a class, she gave me a C for participation. Lectures went off track, and grading was not clear. However, she is passionate about the material.
Profesora Gonzales-Smith is a wonderful professor. Sometimes she can get off track, but her intentions and appreciation for the topics are lovely. Three big group projects, no midterm or final. Grading gives good comments, TA advice is helpful, attending lectures is vital.
Favoritism explains good reviews. Students were afraid to speak up. Worst class/ prof I have taken, harder than toughest STEM courses. Called my groupmate a burra, changed past grades, gave unclear directions, and gaslit concerns. Gave me F on test, then a B when I asked to see. Gave diff grades for same work to people. Lied to my face. Dishonest.
