CollegeProf. Hespanha was always very engaging during his lectures and was always extremely helpful in labs. You can tell he really enjoys ECE and wants you to succeed. He was always really fun to talk to, the class was never stressful, and I enjoyed that lectures were optional. I honestly would love to take one of his graduate-level game theory courses.
the course is an easy A and while i ultimately ended up dropping out of ECE, i really enjoyed this class (and the project that is apart of it) and found Hespanha's lectures to be very interesting. great professor overall and i'm sure his introduction to certain topics would be useful for future ece courses (but not like I would know lol)
I loved ECE 5 and Prof Hespanha was awesome. His lectures were clear, organized, and interesting, and he was very nice to talk to outside of class. I had some group-project issues that he responded to in a very considerate manner, and he was always super helpful when he stopped by in sections.
ECE 5 is a free class, but he's a really good lecturer. His lectures make sense and are a really good overview for later classes, plus he really welcomes questions.
This class is a free A, with very little homework. Lectures were very interesting and well-taught but were not required and the content was not tested. One group project with 3 person groups is responsible for all of your coursework. Mr. Hespanha is very helpful along the way.
Professor Hespanha was all-around fantastic. His course notes are well-written (he wrote them!) and fairly easy to follow. Each lecture introduces a new topic that you can take entire classes on later. The sheer amount of content was a bit much at times, but the homework was simple. Professor Hespanha was funny and taught this course well.
