Siegel is super nice and you can tell he's really intelligent. Cool guy but OH MY GOD his vocab is far too pretentious. He speaks in synonyms. Also, the subject matter is super interesting, but somehow the course makes it seem dull. Wish I got more from my experience. This is the hardest FAMST prerequisite imo -- 96 was a breeze in comparison.

Be prepared to never be able to write everything down. He says he doesn't like putting things on the slides and then proceeds to put dense text on the slides. Readings are NECESSARY TO KEEP UP ON IN ORDER TO PASS. TAs are the ones who really create understanding in the class. Skip a screening? Be prepared for your grade to drop 3%.

I honestly really enjoyed Professor Siegel this quarter. His lectures were very dense but were easily understandable if you read the readings and were gone over in section. Your TA definitely makes or breaks your grade! Be prepared for lots of reading, this course is definitely ap gov, comms, and advertising on crack!!!!

I have no idea what the grading criteria are like. The professor just talk about bunch of useless stuff and I can't learn anything from the lectures.

an obnoxious and unrealistic amount of reading is assigned weekly that you're expected to comprehend and memorize for both the midterm and final exam
