The scientific community is a key source of knowledge. Much of that knowledge remains segregated from the common stock of knowledge held by members of the public. Course examines the socio-cultural communicative factors that enhance and inhibit the communication of science to the public, and the consequences of both effective and ineffective communication.

very helpful and understanding of the comm pre major journey, class was very simple and expectations were made clear from day one with no surprises.
Her lectures were interesting and it was very clear what we would be tested on. The mandatory study guides ended up being super helpful. She is really kind and wants everyone to do well.
She substituted for another teacher halfway through the quarter, but made the transition very smooth. Concepts were explained clearly and had helpful examples, which made the content easier to understand. Tests were chill for the most part.
Literally the Lebron of Profs. Easy class, interesting lectures, extremely helpful, and very personable. I genuinely don't think it's possible to be a better prof than this.
Love Dr. Elder! Her lectures were so fun and she obviously cares so much about her students. 3 tests throughout the quarter but if you study the study guide given to us they are so easy. Final paper was trickier and my TA wasn't that helpful and confused me more, but I got it done eventually. I recommend for an easy GE!
