CollegeReally interesting and relevant class highly recommend! He's also an engaging and entertaining professor. You need to read the textbook to know the material well for the weekly quizzes because it's usually a time crunch. He even had quite a few guest lectures from other amazing professors!
Very friendly and approachable. Make sure to schedule office hours in advance because he is really busy. I loved his class and he seemed so interested in the subject matter that it made me want to go out and learn more.
One of the best professors i've ever had!! He makes class really interesting, and goes on a lot of interesting and funny tangents! GO TO CLASS. Sure, you can get most of the information from the book, but it makes much more sense if you have him explain it. The tests are pretty easy for an UD Chem class! AMAZING PROF - HIS MOTHER WOULD BE PROUD ;))
Plaxco is an amazing professor. He's hilarious, which makes lectures very entertaining. You'll find that he goes on a lot of tangents, but he plans class time for them so you don't miss out on any material because of them and they are also almost always completely relevant to the subject. His tests are easy as long as you go to class.
If Dr. Plaxco is teaching a class TAKE IT! no questions asked! One of the best profs in UCSB. He's just excellent! He's easy to talk to, friendly, easy to understand, explains very well, funny and makes you want to show up for class and inspires you to think outside of box. Very captivating professor/scientist. If he's teaching just take him.
Kevin is full of really cool and hilarious stories and insight that you won't get anywhere else. The quizzes were tough but if you study even a little they're nothing. Probably one of the coolest professors I have ever had
