Really interesting and relevant class highly recommend! He's also an engaging and entertaining professor. You need to read the textbook to know the material well for the weekly quizzes because it's usually a time crunch. He even had quite a few guest lectures from other amazing professors!

Very friendly and approachable. Make sure to schedule office hours in advance because he is really busy. I loved his class and he seemed so interested in the subject matter that it made me want to go out and learn more.

One of the best professors i've ever had!! He makes class really interesting, and goes on a lot of interesting and funny tangents! GO TO CLASS. Sure, you can get most of the information from the book, but it makes much more sense if you have him explain it. The tests are pretty easy for an UD Chem class! AMAZING PROF - HIS MOTHER WOULD BE PROUD ;))

Plaxco is an amazing professor. He's hilarious, which makes lectures very entertaining. You'll find that he goes on a lot of tangents, but he plans class time for them so you don't miss out on any material because of them and they are also almost always completely relevant to the subject. His tests are easy as long as you go to class.

If Dr. Plaxco is teaching a class TAKE IT! no questions asked! One of the best profs in UCSB. He's just excellent! He's easy to talk to, friendly, easy to understand, explains very well, funny and makes you want to show up for class and inspires you to think outside of box. Very captivating professor/scientist. If he's teaching just take him.

Kevin is full of really cool and hilarious stories and insight that you won't get anywhere else. The quizzes were tough but if you study even a little they're nothing. Probably one of the coolest professors I have ever had

Professor Plaxco is one of the remaining true gentleman professors in the chemistry department at UCSB. I definitely recommend taking him for whatever class he teaches that interests you, for he brings with it a part of himself and his lectures are some of the best here at UCSB.

Plaxco is a very enthusiastic professor and really brings interest into the course topics. His tests are relatively easy, but come to lecture! The material covered in lecture is the same as his text, but listening to him in class is much more entertaining. Overall a nice guy and easy to understand.

Really enthusiastic. His chem 147 class, astrobiology, is one of my favorite classes I've taken at UCSB. Helps to have a chemistry background. Awesome guy!

Plaxico is a great person, a horrible professor. Its not even that he is a boring, its just that his concepts are hard to understand and he all he does is derive fomulas all lecture which are simply printed in the book. When tests come, you dont know how to do things, plaxico is a must read book professor. Lectures are worthless.
