CollegeI took Professor Kam for a 3-week summer course and it was one of my favorite classes I have taken in the Comm department! Somehow she made a 3 hour lecture always feel interesting. Since it was a summer class the grade was based on a midterm and final exam (both multiple choice) but I think during the school year there's also a paper.
Dr.Kam is by far my favorite comm professor! Although i took her 3 week course, her lectures are super easy to follow along. Her exams do have some questions from the reading, so even light reading will help! She is one of those professors who just makes you feel safe to engage in class discussions. 10/10 would recommend this course.
Dr. Kam is really lovely. She's a kind professor who genuinely cares about her students. You can tell she really passionate about what she lectures us on. You also don't have to go to lecture (she posts slides online), but going will make you understand the topics better. I would highly recommend her !!
Ive taken 2 courses with Kam so far. Shes great! I love her lectures and the material is easy. Test questions make you think and apply terms instead of just regurgitating definitions but she provides a study guide so if you do that and do your readings and attend class youll get a good grade. She wants you to understand & succeed
Great professor. Easy to follow along with during lecture. For the readings, at least do some of them to do ok on the tests. I skimmed (not skipped) most of them and passed - there will be questions on them on the exams. Definitely pay attention in lecture. Overall, I enjoyed her class
Dr. Kam is a great lecturer. She's a dynamic speaker and well-educated in her field. I tune out easily, which makes lecture hard for me sit through sometimes, but she was easy to follow along with. She also does well to engage her students, and she brings various sources from outside of the textbook to keep things interesting. Recommended
