This class was online so I didn't really have any direct interactions with Cherie, but she seemed nice and supportive. The recorded lectures were good, but there were SO many of them lol. There were also 5 quizzes a week...(one on each lecture topic) I also feel that we didn't receive that much guidance on the R stuff, given how harsh they graded.

I took Biometry in the Spring 2020 quarter, so we were completely online. She's very helpful, and the office hours for her and her TAs was extremely useful, especially with learning R and statistics in the same course. This is one of the most relevant courses a research-oriented student (or anyone wanting some stats) can take. 10/10 recommend.

Took Biometry in Spring 2020, so not sure how applicable this will be to normal quarters. Class was not too difficult, quizzes were mostly straightforward except one or two brutal ones. However, lowest quiz and lowest computer lab grade is dropped. Final project was really tough, but midterm was pretty easy. Don't slack off on labs. Good prof.

This class was very straightforward. The statistical material wasn't the most exciting, but Professor Briggs and Mark the T.A. made it fun and interesting! Easy weekly quizzes, open-booknote exams. Attendance not mandatory but I would recommend going because she often gives tips on quizzestests during lecture. Great class!

Really cool professor. Friendly and laid-back. Class wasn't very hard, so long as you keep up. Open note, open book tests. Would recommend.
