CollegeIf you are part of his cult and participate, you'll be rewarded with questions removed from midterms and finals. He also taught stuff way outside of the Exam FM syllabus and skipped immunization. I have avoided sharing my grade and other information out of fear that his cult members search and silence me. Save yourself and remember this: skdjhfbsdk
His only cons are really that the lecture are very scattered but he does provide lecture slides to go along with it. You do have to study on your own, however, PARTICIPATE! I didn't have to do 20% of my final, 10 other students who participated a lot got the same treatment. PLEASE do the optional final project and you literally have a Guaranteed A
Bipolar during exam time. His lectures make very little sense and goes so far beyond the scope of the class that the TA's started just giving us answers to the homework. A lot of what you go over in lecture doesn't even go on the exams because he's not allowed to test on it. Genuinely the most stressful class I have ever taken. Also crazy favoritism
People that criticize Professor Grigorian don't know what a good Professor is. Grigorian is very accessible, has interesting lectures and does his best at making his class fun. I had him for PSTAT 8 this quarter and his grading was very lenient, as well as his exams. He is not a boring professor and whatever question you have he'll answer. A+ prof.
He is the worst lecturer at UCSB. Hands down. He spoke softly without using the sound system so the whole lecture hall of 100 people had to be silent if you wanted to hear him speak. And if you did hear him speak he would ramble and go on tangents about topics that had nothing to do with the topics we would be tested on.
He thinks he's funny but he is not. Lecture material has absolutely nothing to do with the homework or tests. Lots of independent study, only take this class if you HAVE to. He also remembers everyones names and will call you out if you miss lecture.
