CollegeAsync version: lectures were very dense and took a long time to go through if trying to understand all the proofs. OH by TAs or Feldman help a lot for HW, and make sure to really understand the info to get good quiz scores. Since the final project is 50%, really make sure model is good, go over final product with her, she expects a high standard.
Don't take her is you want to have a strong GPA
Doesn't care student feeling, lazy to reply email for grade argument, disrespectful!
The online version of 174 was pretty bad. There were 4 quizzes, very long weekly homeworks, and a final project. At least you can work pretty much at your own pace and just have to learn enough to keep up with the quizzes. The final was terrible and nuked my grade from an A to a B. Overall only positive is that it's ASYNC
Feldman was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Lectures are clear and recorded making it easy to review. She responds to emails and has plenty of office hours. There is a weekly quiz which can be retaken after she reviews the answers in OH. Final proj is 50% of the grade but guidelines are clear & she has a lecture where she does it step by step
Raya is a very knowledgeable and firm instructor, with her support proving useful most of the time. Said support is practically necessary to pass the course, due to extremely dense lectures and assignments, difficult online quizzes (which she allows retakes on), and a project worth half of the grade. But she provides these tools useful to succeed.
