CollegeHe is one of the kindest professors ever, I wish he taught more classes. He is helpful, but make sure you talk to him about anything that may be occur. He is devoted to his work and students, we need more professors like him at UCSB (HWs are reasonable, lab is chill / fun, tests are fine if you study and offers EC if u attend lecture and sign in).
It's an interesting class on the design of experiments. He gave two midterms (weeks 5 and 9) and only used the highest score. The final was a group project that covered all the concepts taught throughout the quarter. It's an engaging class, 100% would recommend!
I really benefited from PSTAT 122 class and was able to learn a lot through the lectures. He provided good practice problems and if you pay attention in class, he basically tells you what kind of questions will be on the exam. Cheat sheets were also allowed during exams.
He's amazing!!! Very very nice, knows how to teach perfectly. He's aware of all things being taught, grades fairly and has fair exams. Best prof ever, highly recommend!!!
(Rating PSTAT 122) A very kind and accommodating professor. Sets clear guidelines for his lectures and throughout the course made sure we understood the material and wanted us to succeed. Lectures were decent, reasonable homework and exam difficulty was mostly fair. Would take with him again!
Prof.Abuzaid is THE BEST PSTAT professor at UCSB!! Don't hesitate to take his course. He is patient and super nice and his exams are very similar to the practice. THE BEST!!
