MATH108A . 19 Days Ago

She's a very nice person but as a teacher, I don't think her methods were effective. She doesn't really explain anything well and kind of just repeats stuff verbatim from the textbook. Exams were very tough as well. Overall, the class structure was all over the place and unfortunately, she's THE worst professor I've ever had.

I really appreciated Professor Bakshi's teaching style. She is incredibly smart and did a great job of making the material understandable. She genuinely cared about our learning and always checked during class to make sure everyone is following along. She gives bonus problems on exams. Honestly wish she was teaching 34B this quarter.

Very nice and friendly and cares about students, but I didn't feel like she explained concepts that clearly to me.

She is so sweet! Taught math in a simple way so even i could understand it. I've struggled in math the entirety of my education and she really helped make it simple. The practice exams were identical to the real exams and she offered bonus points. TA wasn't the best but she made up for it. She also really cares about students and is really kind.

She's an awesome lecturer—super clear explanations and does tons of practice problems in class. Grading is chill, and there are bonus questions on exams. Super kind and actually cares about her students. 10/10 would recommend!

Professor Palak is kind, warm, patient, but her actual teaching is lacking, as she often has conflicting directions for work and will hold students to a different standard than herself (ie. exams are strictly no calculator but in every single practice exam answer guide she uses a calculator and methods which we are strictly unable to use on exams)
