    • The Middle Ages in Film . HIST 138FM

    Addresses how the Ancient World & the Middle Ages have been portrayed in popular culture & film. Did certain films influence our views of the past and how much we know or think we know about the Ancient World & the Middle Ages? Do these movies influence the way we see the past? We will view films in class & discuss them. Among the topics of these films will be the fall of the Roman Empire, the Crusades and Joan of Arc.

    Professor English is awesome! This class was fun and stress-free. He is not a tough grader on the essays (which make up all of the grade along with participation). He is the professor that answered my questions the fastest this quarter, and he really cares about what he is teaching. Class taken: HIST138FM (was not an option here)

    Had expectations more appropriate to a once a week seminar than a twice a week one. Overall decent, but serious pros and cons.
