Dr. Price is the best professor I have ever had at UCSB, I took the whole GCHEM series with him. This professor actually cares about student success and is always available to help (even if you can't make office hours). I was failing with Abu Omar and excelled with Dr. Price. If all professors were like Dr. Price it would make UCSB a better place.

Price is great at explaining concepts, however he does go pretty fast. I would usually go over notes/rewatch lecture videos to get things I missed in class. If you do all the book problems, practice tests (timed), and ALEKS homework you should be able to succeed. It's important to be able to do the problems fast because midterms are a time crunch.

Price is a great lecturer who made complex concepts in 1B easier to understand. His midterms were very similar to the practice midterms he posted on Canvas. However, I believe his course averages were too high so he made a very difficult final which ended up tanking my grade. Be aware of that final if the averages for the midterms are high!

Great lecturer and provides tons of resources on the canvas page, including recorded lectures. Midterms were reasonable and were a lot like the posted practice tests. My advice would be to take ALL of the practice tests. I only really struggled on the final, as it was not as much like the practice problems.

Great professor! Only good things to say, and I wish I could take him for the entire gen chem series! Very clear and organized, and has many tools and tips on how to succeed in his class. Great lecturer but also very accessible outside of class. Do the practice problems and practice exams because they are exactly like the midterms and final.

One of the best professors I've had at UCSB. Broke down difficult concepts well so definitely go to lectures. Make sure to do all the ALEKS or else your grade is entirely your test scores. I only ever studied practice exams (didn't do book problems) and still did well on the midterms/final. Warning: final was much harder than midterms.
