CollegeTook the class as P/NP, fairly easy material and its easy to get good grades. The final is not weighted heavily, so you could technically just Ace the midterm and get a P with minimal work. Lectures were pretty interesting and the class was engaging.
Very passionate about what she teaches. I was lowkey confused all quarter because it's really confusing. Pop quizzes in class, midterm and final written essays in class. Make sure to get a good TA. EACS 80
If you are interested in Chinese history, I highly recommend you to take Professor Zuo's class. The quizzes in class are very simple and have only two multiple-choice questions. The group project is to arrange a small debate with your group members (actually more like a small performance). The final is a paper to be written at home.
One of the best classes I have taken at UCSB! If you show up to class, you will do well.
Very good professor.
She is very passionate about the subject. Easy course, make sure to do the readings though.
