Very good professor.
She is very passionate about the subject. Easy course, make sure to do the readings though.
Prof. Zuo genuinely cares for her students and gives so many opportunities to correct any assignments submitted improperly. Super easy grader but definitely block out a decent chunk of time to do readings if you're in one of her upper div classes.
Super easy class. Barely went to lecture, midterms and final are two 500 work take home essays each.
Easy. That is how I would describe this class. I didn't go to a single lecture after the first week. I would just go to section and skim the hw. As long as you listen during section, you will do fine. Super easy class. Midterm and final are just take home essays so very easy to manage.
this class was very fun and really challenged the western point of view of history. Only 2 papers, but weekly quizzes on the chapter get tedious. The papers are actually fun to write, coming from someone that hates writing.
Professor Zuo is a very competent and kind professor. Lectures were interesting and definitely helped in writing my midterm and final. Weekly textbook quizzes.
The atmosphere of Professor Zuo's lectures is very relaxed, and she often tries to mobilize the class atmosphere. The mid-term and the final are both two papers to take back. If you have read the materials every week or have accumulated history before, it will not be too difficult. The weekly quiz is also a very simple ten-choice question
Professor Zuo is a really nice professor. The class is graded on section attendance and participation, Weekly quizzes, discussion posts, a midterm, and a final. Weekly quizzes are really easy. They are pulled directly from the textbook and are very straightforward. Discussion posts are 100-250 words. Midterm and Final are both 2 500 word essays
Professor Zuo is certainly a very nice person, although not the greatest professor. Her lectures were quite boring and provided very little tested information. The class clearly had a large discrepancy between TAs. I believe that I was lucky to get an A in this course with the TA I received. Prof. Zuo often had technical issues.
Really nice professor! You won't learn too much in depth, but she gives a good general description of many topics over the short 10 week class. Grading is mostly based on your TA. There are weekly online quizzes that are easy, weekly 250 word posts, section attendance, and midterm & final essays that are 2 500 word essays each. Easy writing GE imo.
Hist 2B is a difficult class to teach because of the wide range of topics and regions discussed. Despite this, Prof Zuo does a good job of explaining connections and providing enough information for students to form their own opinions. There is a lot of reading, but nothing unreasonable.
