CollegeWay to much reading and a harsh grader. The topics are very interesting and Laury is very sweet but i wish i didn't take the class. I spent so much time doing the hw and the grade doesn't reflect it at all.
Most of her lectures were interesting. Grades based on participation, midterm paper, research paper, and final paper but graded kind of hard.
she is amazing. she teaches and tells very interesting stuff to studnets, but her exam and paper are hard.
lecture notes are not organized, very hard to pay attention in class. If you are not a womens studies major and looking for an elective, this class isn't the best choice.
best teacher @ UCSB!
Down to earth and receptive. Will work with you to overcome any obstacle you are facing toward academic success. Was very thoughtful of the emotional energy students had throughout COVID. Proud to have met her, researched beside her, and learned from her as Dean of Feminist Studies.
