Includes study of soil physical, biological, and chemical properties, soil development, and fertility, as well as the critical role of soils in fostering thriving communities. Incorporates independent projects and soils excursions.

Prerequisites: Environmental Studies 15A and 15B or Chemistry 1A-B; and Geography 3 or 4 oEarth Science 2 or 4 or 20
