CollegeTeaching style is bland. Slides are basically summary of the readings. Readings are expected to be done before class and there's not a lot, but they are all dense as hell and honestly very time-consuming without good guidance. Office hours are genuinely a nightmare, she doesnt say anything and expects you to have excellent arguments already somehow
Test are 50% of the grade. she barely felt like making a study guide and just told us to known everything we had learned. Everyone did poorly but a few people so she of course blamed the class, makes sense. she goes over way to much material way to quickly, really unejoyable class and she does not make it any better.
I was really excited about this class, and did find the course material very interesting, but unfortunately the teaching style basically ruined it for me. The TA was an extremely harsh grader, the readings were incredibly dense, and her lectures were so dry they barely helped. The final was also the most stressful test I've ever taken.
Taking 100D with her made it almost impossible to do well. Your entire grade consists of two papers, two midterms, one final. Her lectures and slides are so difficult to follow, and the only thing that got me through this class was youtube videos and summaries on the readings. I went to all the lectures, tested abv avg, and had the worst time.
The worst professor I've ever had. She does not lecture or teach. She gives readings otherwise the class is taught almost entirely by student presentations. If you mess up on one of the exams your grade is doomed. Gives no useful feedback and will not help you understand subjects. Slow grader.
