CollegeHaving taken him for 2A/2B last year, 4B was one of his more ok quarters. However, he's still a legendary prof who's well respected. Weekly HWs, 2 midterms+final (doing well on final replaces your lower midterm score) and he curves generously. Skewed diff. rating cuz 4A last year (w/ Morrison) was terrible so 4B was hard for me. I recommend Porter!
Pretty mid lecturer(just boringly writes examples on the board). homework, midterms and finals all pretty fair. The only issue is the course had big pacing issues, it started off very easy but had huge chunk of material in last 2 weeks. Also he assigned homework for the thanksgiving week and the final week which was really annoying.
Two midterms and a final which are not too bad. Posts clear notes for students to review and understand the concepts better. If you understand the notes and do the practice problems, the tests are not going to be too bad. Pretty good professor.
Professor Porter is amazing - he really wants you to succeed. Stay on top of the homework, use unstuckstudy ai for study prep, and you'll ace this class. Lectures are super helpful, and he's very accommodating.
One of the best Professors that I've had so far. He is very caring and clearly explains what is going to be on the exams. Do all the HW's and you will be able to get a good grade in the class.
This is the greatest math teacher to ever exist. He deserves everything he has ever wanted, everything his heart desires. He wants you to succeed so badly and gives you every opportunity to do so. If you fail it is quite literally on you. Do your homework and have a good note card for the test, you will get a 100% I can guarantee it.
